The Quiz Group has been running since April 2018, including during the Covid-19 pandemic, when we sent out e-mail quizzes to our Quiz Group members.
A reminder is sent out to group members 3-4 days before the monthly quiz, asking them to inform us if they are planning to attend the meeting. This allows us to select the teams at random in advance of the quiz - you may meet new people or join in with old friends. We normally have 4 people per team. It's a great way to make friends if you are a new member.
We have a lot of fun and give our brains some exercise. Please come and join us if you are free on a Thursday afternoon.

1. Choose a team name
Find your table and choose a team name. How about "Modest but Glorious" or "Wet and Windy" or "Clue Sniffers"?
3. Main quiz - 6 rounds of 10 questions
Next we have 6 rounds of 10 questions. The first three rounds are set by Hilary, the next three by Carol - both trying not to get the giggles!
Hilary also has a "Name 10" round and there are a couple of spot prizes to give away.
2. Work together on the tabletop quiz
Heads together to solve the Tabletop Quiz clues. What topics have we got this month? James Bond films, anagrams, famous dogs, pop groups, sit-coms, a word puzzle - you never know what to expect.
4. Points mean prizes!
At the end, the points are added up, and the scores are announced. If there is a tie, then there is a tie-break question to decide who takes home the prize. The winning team takes away some chocolate treats.
