This group is suitable for members who want to improve their conversational French. It is aimed at all levels, so you may not have spoken French since you left school or your French may be more advanced but rusty. Joining this group could be a good way to gain confidence in the language and improve your vocabulary with the help of other members.

Group meetings are very informal. It is not a French class with a teacher - we may read and translate from a book or magazine, listen to a podcast or recording in French and discuss what we have heard or play a card game or word game in French. At each meeting someone will suggest a topic for a short piece of written work, which the members will read out at the next meeting. These are very varied - museums you have visited, music festivals, a short biography of someone you admire, the story behind an old photograph - anything that happens to spring to mind.
