Our annual holiday is very popular. We visit a resort on the coast, and stay in a comfortable and well appointed hotel. Whatever the weather, there is always something to do, and you will meet other members and make new friends.
The facilitators for this group are Janice C. and Joy E .
2025 Eastbourne
On Monday 1st September our members boarded the coach and were whisked away to Eastbourne. On arrival, we were allocated our rooms, the sun was shining and there was time for a stroll before dinner.
Tuesday saw us off to Battle and Hastings. Sunny Hastings was a welcome sight, quite a few of us made our way to the East lift for a glorious view of the town and sea.
On Wednesday we travelled to Uckfield, it was a bit showery here and as we made our way back to the coach the rain came down in stair rods. Fortunately, when we arrived at the Bluebell Railway the sun was shining and we boarded the steam train for the 11 mile ride between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead - a touch of nostalgia for the era of steam. In the evening some of our members went to the theatre for a performance of songs from the shows.
It was a sunny day in Brighton on Thursday with a lot of attractions such as the Brighton Pavilion, The Lanes and not forgetting the shopping!
Friday was sunny as we said goodbye to Eastbourne after a lovely week. The staff at the hotel were very good, Graham our driver couldn't do enough and finally thanks to Joy and Janice for organising it.
