The Garden Lovers group started off as a Gardening group, but we found that our true passion was visiting gardens, rather than digging them. The Garden Lovers group visits gardens both locally and further afield. Local locations are reached by public transport or self-drive/car share, other visits are day trips by coach.
The facilitator for this group is Rob C.
Upcoming events
Our next coach trip will be on Friday August 14th to National Trust properties at Tatton Park in Cheshire and Little Moreton Hall in Staffordshire. There are a few spaces available with a cost of £51 which covers coach costs and entrance to both sites but reducing to £22 for National Trust members.

Stockton Bury Gardens and Berrington Hall
On 12th June we visited Stockton Bury Gardens and Berrington Hall by coach. It was a lovely day which everyone enjoyed. In addition to two lovely gardens we set our coach driver Darren some challenges by finding the narrowest roads and the most difficult entrances to the sites!
Tulley's Tulip Garden
On Friday 17th April the garden lovers group visited Tulley's Tulip Garden at Hatton Country world. The weather forecast was not very encouraging, but we were very fortunate to avoid the rain, and everyone who visited was very impressed by the spectacular display.
In November last year 750,00 tulip bulbs were planted, this included 100 different tulip varieties. At the end of the season, all the bulbs are dug up and destroyed, as they are exhibition tulips that will only flower once. It was a wonderful display, not to be missed.
